A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy man keeps a secret. Proverbs 11:13 The goal of security at Vital Concern is to assure that information is posted and viewed only by those who are authorized. Vital Concern protects all posted information with the same server and encryption security used for transferring credit card information--a Secure Socket Layer and 128 bit encryption, which is virtually impossible to crack. There is no perfect security system, so all users must take responsibility for information they post on Vital Concern. We follow a strict privacy policy, as stated in the Member Agreement. Your PERSONAL prayer list items are available only to you, not to your local congregation. LOCAL prayer list items are fully accessible within your congregation, but unless you specify otherwise, they are not available to other congregations. GLOBAL items are available to all congregations and to anyone who tries the demonstration. Your Local Administrator can remove any local congregation posting from Vital Concern with a few clicks. All users have access at any time to remove their own requests--the ones that they have posted. We try to protect email addresses from being exposed. They should never be visible on a web page unless members post them, for example, in the directory. Members may also reveal their email addresses to other members when sending email through this website. The Member Agreement for Vital Concern places responsibility for content squarely on the user. It also notes that neither Vital Concern nor churches, church leaders, nor Local Administrators warrant the accuracy of content, nor are they responsible for content, damages resulting from content, or for controlling content in any way. Vital Concern could not exist if all content had to be screened prior to posting. Thank you for accepting the responsibilities and risks so that we can get on with doing the Lord's work.
