The most important communication network on earth.

Here are some tips to help you get started using Vital Concern. Feel free to learn by trying.

You can use Vital Concern as an individual, or together with your church. To sign up as an individual, click here to register and get instructions.

To login with your church, your church must first be registered. You can register your church by clicking here.  If someone else has already signed up your church or group, ask them to send you your password.

Login.  Log in from the home page. If you forget your password at any time, click on "Forgot Password?" near the Login button. To change your password or email address, go to "My Profile."

Overview.  After login, Vital Concern uses a navigation system that lets you go anywhere from any page. Roll your mouse near the top of the page. Click on your selection.

Admin.  If you are a Local Administrator, you can reach the administrative area by clicking on "Admin" in the upper right corner of most pages. If you are not an administrator, you will not see this link. For more on this, click here for the Quick Admin Page .

Posting Requests.  All requests shared with the local congregation are submitted using the same online form. The amount of text in certain fields is limited to make sure that all requests are concise. There is plenty of room for details, too. To use the form, go to "Post or Update" in the navigation bar.

When filling out the form, fill in all the required items. They ask for the subject of the request and the main point or problem. Also, if you know someone who might be able to update the request in the future, select their name. Both you and that person will be sent reminders to update the request. Set the expiration date carefully. When an item expires, it disappears from the prayer list, but the information is still available for you to update or renew.

You may post as many requests as you wish. You may also post announcements, help requests, and any kind of thanks or encouragement.

Pay special attention to the options at the bottom of the form. If you want other congregations to have access to this request, click in the appropriate circle. If you want the request to be emailed to all local members immediately (it will also be posted), check the appropriate box before saving.

Modifying Requests. You may update, modify, renew, or delete your requests at any time. Go to "Post or Update" through the navigation bar. If you posted the request or were identified as a second person able to update it, you'll be able to edit the original info and save changes. Keep your requests current. When prayers are answered, update "Current Status" and click the box to indicate resolution. The request will then be posted automatically on the congregation's Praise Report.

The Incredibly Dynamic Prayer List. This is one of several prayer list formats from which your members can choose. Anyone in your congregation can change the Current Status of any request by clicking on its Current Status in the Incredibly Dynamic Prayer List. You can quickly email the person who posted the request. You can view all the "Details." Anyone may add relevant info/updates to any request. And you can leave a note of encouragement or praise, called a "Love Note."

Many Other Functions. Vital Concern has many other capabilities. Try it, and contact us if you have questions.
